Working alone is daunting, especially when you're responsible for every role: programming, design, marketing, and more. Within HackYear you'll find the collaboration you need to succeed.

The hardest part is usually just knowing where to start. We will organize the resources you need to learn immediately necessary skills and the community will provide projects to apply them.

Oftentimes, experience is more valuable than theory. This is an opportunity to learn from real-world mistakes while building something you can be proud of. Kickstart your career by being a creator rather than a consumer.

The Gist

HackYear welcomes you to a community of other developers and creators. If you're already working on something, you can get feedback or find teammates. If you need ideas, there are projects to join and others to help brainstorm. If you want to learn a new skill, try our practice projects and curated tutorials to learn by doing. Once you have a project up and running, you'll already have an audience and can use our blog page to update everyone on your progress.

The Network

When you join HackYear, you will be far from alone. Within the group, you'll have an audience for feedback, experienced developers to ask questions, a team to build with, and a community where you can interact.

Educational Value

Utilize a curated catalog of tutorials and experts to learn skills. Choose from projects to apply them. Take an an idea to the test and learn what it means to work on a product as a team. Even if you are busy with school, HackYear can be a casual way to add valuable skills, whenever you have time.
